Product information

The Z-POPP Kfob is a Z-Wave device that can both control other Z-Wave devices and activate predefined scenes in an IP gateway. It can act both as a primary and secondary controller. The KFOB can be used in five different modes that are picked by configuration commands:

  1. Direct Control of associated Devices with single Buttons association group 1 is controlled by button 1, group 2 by button 2 etc., Single Click = On, Double Click = Off, Hold = Dim up, Click and Hold = Dim down
  2. Direct Control of associated Devices with two Buttonsassociation group 1 is controlled by the two buttons #1 and #3, association group 2 is controlled by the two buttons #2 and #4. Click of the larger button = On, Click of the smaller button = off, hold the larger buttons = Dim up, Hold the smaller button = Dim down
  3. Scene Activation in IP Gateway Clicking a button activates a corresponding scene in a IP gateway if the IP gateway is configured accordingly.
  4. Direct Activation of preconfigured Scenes Associated devices in an association are controlled by individual commands defines by Z-Wave command class. This function enhances mode 1.
  5. Direct Control of Devices in proximity pushing button 1 or 2 turns on a device in short distance (50...100 cm) from the fob, button 3 or 4 turns of a device in proximity.

How to add the z-wave kfob to the FIBARO Home Center 2 /Home Center Lite

Including the Kfob

++++ Note, keep the Kfob very close to the HC (<1 meter, no obstacles) to have the best result ++++

Go to the add device mode in the Home Center 2. When in learning mode, hold down all 4 buttons at once and keep holding till green LED shows (on the Kfob).
Now press button 3

When the HC2 shows that the device is include you can press 'close' and you need to wake Kfob in order to finish the configuration.
Press 'close'.
Now hold all 4 buttons again until green LED shows again and press 3.
The HC2 will show (in green letters) that configuration has finished.

Now go to the remote advanced tab and add the parameters of your choice (scroll down for the button 'add parameter').

And press save!!
wake up the remote again, in order to get the new configuration in there. So hold all 4 buttons again until green LED shows again and press 3.
When the HC2 shows that parameter 14=4 all parameters are send to the remote.

Now you are able to use this LUA script to start scenes or other actions by pushing a button (or double push, or push and hold for 1,5 sec)

(we havent checked the returnvalues, maybe these difer from the old Zwave.me model).
