Nest 3rd generation : The incredible OpenTherm thermostat.
Availability : mid december 2015.
Your energy bill consists for over 50% from heating costs. When your home thermostat isn't efficiëntly programmed, you're waisting lots of that energy. The Nest learning thermostat programs itself and shows how many ernergy you are using at any moment. So no more guessing how high your energy bill will be this month, but saving energy and money!
The thing you need to connect the thermostat is 230V.
The Nest Thermostat from Google now also is usable in a Z-wave domotical environment because of the so called plugins that FIBARO uses. The Nest Thermostat can also be connected to a Homie, Vera or Zipato.
It is a possibility with the Nest Thermostat and the Heat Link to divide your house in different zones. Then you can manage your heating separate from different rooms or floors. This is a very good way to get an environment friendly home.
In a zone are certain or multiple heatingsystems, like floorheating or radiators. In these zones, the heatingsystem will run on a separate Nest Thermostat and Heat Link. There will be a zone conrtol valve to control the pipe to the zone in question, so the lost energy is reduced to a minimum. the zone control valve is controlled trough a distribution box or directly by the Heat Link.
